No. LicenceLane is an online marketplace. The independent instructor you choose supplies the lesson or test-day service and remains responsible for their licensing, vehicle and how each lesson runs. LicenceLane operates the platform, the calendar and the payment.
Where can I book lessons?
Car lessons can be booked anywhere in Australia where an instructor covers your suburb. Light Rigid (LR), Medium Rigid (MR), Heavy Rigid (HR) and Heavy Combination (HC) training is currently offered in Queensland only. If nobody covers your suburb yet, leave your details and we'll let you know when someone does.
What are the heavy-vehicle eligibility rules?
LicenceLane offers LR, MR, HR and HC services only in Queensland, so the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) rules apply. For example, TMR requires a car licence held for at least 1 year before LR or MR, and 2 years before HR. Each class page summarises TMR's rules and links TMR's own pages, which prevail. Check your eligibility with TMR before booking.
What will I see before I pay?
The instructor, the vehicle and transmission, the suburbs they cover, the time you've chosen, the total payable price, what the service includes and the cancellation terms. LicenceLane sets the displayed price for each service.
How do I know an instructor is legitimate?
LicenceLane records an instructor's driver licence, instructor licence, Working With Children Check where required and insurance before they can take bookings, and tracks expiry dates. The verification status and date show on each profile. These are platform checks, not a government endorsement.
How does an instructor join?
Apply through the instructor page: your details, the classes and vehicle you teach in, the suburbs you cover, then your licence and insurance documents. Once approved you set your own availability, and you see the platform price and your estimated payout before your profile goes live.
