About this course
At LicenceLane we begin by assessing your current driving experience to design a personalised training program tailored to your skill level. For steady progress we recommend two lessons per week.
You'll receive one-on-one instruction from qualified male and female instructors across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, in modern air-conditioned vehicles with automatic and manual options.
Eligibility
- Be at least 16 years old to apply for a learner licence
- Complete a minimum of 100 hours of supervised driving, including 10 hours at night
- Pass PrepL or the written road rules test
- Pass the practical driving test at an approved TMR centre

Converting an overseas licence
Moving to Queensland? Permanent residents must transfer their overseas licence within three months of arrival. Temporary residents may drive on a valid overseas licence if it is in English.
We specialise in preparing overseas licence holders for the Queensland practical test — including local road rules, test routes and examiner expectations.

I have an overseas licence. Can you help me convert it?
Absolutely. Permanent residents must transfer an overseas licence within three months of arriving. We'll assess your driving, polish it against Queensland test standards and book you in when you're ready.
What should I bring on test day?
Your valid Queensland learner licence, closed-in shoes, and any identification required under TMR guidelines. We bring the car.
