A buffer between bookings is built into the schedule, so you're never double-booked or expected to be in two suburbs at once.

How it works
From application to first lesson
Create your account
Name, email, phone and your home region. We send a code to both your email and your phone to confirm they're yours.
Complete your application
Tick the licence classes you can teach, map the suburbs you cover, set your weekly hours and upload your documents. Save it and come back any time before you submit.
We review it
Our team checks your application and credentials. If anything's missing we'll ask for it right inside your portal, so you always know where it's up to.
Sign and start teaching
Once you're approved, sign your instructor contract in the portal and your profile goes live — students can book you from that moment.

Questions
Before you apply
What licence classes can I teach?
Any of the classes you're accredited for — car (automatic and manual), MR, HR and HC. You tick them during your application, and you can request a change later from your portal once you're approved.
How long does approval take?
Your application goes to our team as soon as you submit it. There's no queue number to watch — the status is shown in your portal, and if we need anything further we'll post the request there and you can update and resubmit.
Do I have to finish the application in one sitting?
No. Everything except the initial sign-up can be saved and picked up later — your licence classes, suburbs, hours and documents all keep their place until you're ready to submit.
Can I change my hours or suburbs after I'm approved?
Yes, and you don't need to ask us. Your weekly availability, leave and suburb coverage are yours to edit in the portal, and changes apply to new bookings straight away.
I'm already a LicenceLane student — can I use the same email?
You can. Student and instructor accounts are kept separate, each with their own password, so the same email address works for both. Instructors sign in at the instructor login.
What happens when one of my documents expires?
You add an expiry date with each licence, blue card and insurance upload, and we prompt you before it lapses. Keeping them current is what keeps you bookable.
