INSTRUCTOR STANDARD

Instructor Code of Conduct

Standards for instructors supplying services through LicenceLane

Effective

This Code forms part of the Instructor Partner Terms with PRIME NEST HOLDINGS PTY LTD ABN 13 698 630 554, trading as LicenceLane. It sets the conduct required of each approved Instructor. The contracting sole trader or company must ensure that anyone it engages to deliver a Booking complies with this Code. Applicable law, accreditation conditions and regulator directions prevail.

1 Authority competence and fitness

Each Instructor must hold and maintain the authority, licence, qualifications, medical clearance and screening required for their service and jurisdiction, and teach only within their competence and authority. Report restrictions affecting Bookings immediately.

Do not instruct while impaired or unfit. Stop or postpone a service that cannot be delivered safely and lawfully.

2 Safety first

Before driving, check the Learner's authority and conditions, seat and mirrors, seatbelt and understanding of controls and directions. Explain necessary intervention and select tasks and routes suited to the Learner and conditions.

Give clear, lawful directions, supervise properly and intervene where reasonably necessary. Do not encourage unsafe driving or conduct intended to mislead an examiner.

After a serious incident, protect immediate safety, contact emergency services where needed, exchange required information, preserve relevant records and notify LicenceLane when safe.

3 Vehicle standards

Use a vehicle supplied by the contracting business that meets clause 6 of the Partner Terms, including registration, roadworthiness, suitability for the booked class, required controls, plates and equipment, and insurance. Check it before use. Do not deliver a Booking with a known safety defect or without the required cover; report loss of cover immediately.

Keep the vehicle reasonably clean and free of smoking, vaping and unsecured hazards.

4 Respect equality and professional boundaries

Treat Learners respectfully. Do not discriminate, bully, threaten, harass, exploit or retaliate. Make reasonable adjustments where required and communicate clearly.

Do not make sexual comments or propositions, groom, seek private images, touch unnecessarily or exploit instructional authority for an intimate relationship. Physical contact must be appropriate and consented to, or necessary for immediate safety. Recording requires a lawful basis and any required notice or consent.

5 Children and vulnerable Learners

Comply with applicable child-safe standards, screening and reporting duties. Maintain professional boundaries and involve a parent or guardian where required for consent or safety.

Do not seek secrecy, send inappropriate private messages, give inappropriate gifts or transport a Learner outside the agreed service without authority. Report suspected abuse or serious risk to the proper authority where required and to LicenceLane when safe.

6 Honest instruction records and outcomes

Provide the booked duration and inclusions. Explain progress honestly. Do not guarantee a pass, misrepresent accreditation or included qualifications, fabricate logbook entries, certify training not completed or accept an improper benefit.

Keep accurate, secure attendance, completion, cancellation, incident and legally required training records. Do not falsify records to alter a payment or refund, mark unused or expired prepaid hours as delivered, or claim payment for services not booked with your business.

7 Heavy vehicle and test day services

Offer services only within LicenceLane's scope and your authority. Check the Learner's eligibility and allow enough time for training, travel, rest and test support.

Distinguish the booked service from the separately arranged licensing test. Confirm test details and the meeting point. Do not impersonate a Learner or request government-account passwords or access codes.

8 Bookings prices and payments

Keep availability accurate. Activated availability permits automatic Bookings, which must be honoured without individual acceptance or rejection. Report necessary cancellations promptly and accurately.

Direct payment and refund administration through LicenceLane under the Partner Terms. Honour Bookings funded by Prepaid Entitlements. Do not issue duplicate invoices, collect a second payment, add undisclosed charges, redirect a Booking off-platform or manipulate discounts or payment records. Do not describe discounted services as excluding statutory refund rights.

9 Privacy communications and reviews

Protect Learner information and use it only for the service, safety, lawful records or a genuine complaint. Share it only where authorised or required and delete unnecessary copies. Marketing requires separate lawful consent.

Communicate professionally. Do not manipulate reviews, offer undisclosed incentives or incentives conditional on a positive review, pressure Learners for positive reviews, disclose confidential information or retaliate for an honest review or complaint.

10 Complaints and cooperation

Respond factually to concerns, preserve relevant evidence and cooperate with reasonable enquiries. Do not obstruct a complaint, lawful report or protected disclosure.

11 Consequences and review

A breach may lead to corrective action, restrictions, suspension, termination or referral to an authority, proportionate to the evidence and risk. The Partner Terms govern the process, review rights and payment adjustments.
